Here you will find an overview of our order information as well as explanations regarding the requirements for a print-ready order as the basis for the start of production. Please take a moment before placing your order to read the following important notes carefully. Many production-related questions can be clarified in advance.

When is an order print-ready?

As a rule, the order is print-ready as soon as we have received all PDF data from you in accordance with our specified specifications. In exceptional cases, additional documents, dummies, approvals, or releases may be required from you. We will inform you of this as soon as it becomes apparent to us...  more important information.

1. Production variant

• Standard Production
  ready for shipment/pickup in 3-5 working days, excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri
  For orders of 100 copies or more with standard production, the production period generally extends to 8 to 15 working days, depending on the product specifications, and up to 20 working days in exceptional cases. Please contact us for a more precise estimate of your book production time.
• Express Production - next working day - up to a maximum of 10 copies
  ready for shipment/pickup on the next working day from 3:00 PM, excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri
  Delivery condition: Receipt of the print-ready order by 10:00 AM (excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri).
• Super Express Production - same working day - up to a maximum of 6 copies
  ready for shipment/pickup on the same working day from 4:00 PM, excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri
  Delivery condition: Receipt of the print-ready order by 9:30 AM (excluding public holidays, Mon-Fri).

Note: Please note that the production variant can only proceed once your print-ready order has been received by us. If your print-ready order is received on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday (nationwide or in Berlin), the next working day counts. Additional costs apply for the "Express" and "Super Express" options, which are product-dependent.

Note: We can offer express production for the next working day for up to and including 10 copies. We can offer super-express production for the same working day for up to and including 6 copies.

3. International shipping

• Express shipping (EU) within the EU (Mon-Fri within 1-2 business days, plus €93.00)

• Express shipping (CH) (Mon-Fri by 8:00 PM of the next business day, plus €206.00)

4. General notes

We ship with external shipping service providers (UPS, TNT, etc.).

Delivery to parcel stations (Packstationen) is currently not possible.

5. Delivery time

To determine the delivery time, you must add the production time to the shipping time. If you require, for example, a delivery time of 2 working days (delivery within Germany), you must select this for the "Express Production" or "Super-Express Production" variant.

7. Color representation and material-related differences

Product images and color representation on the website

The product images displayed on our website are for orientation purposes. These are example images. Colors, materials, and surfaces can be perceived differently depending on the screen type, brightness, contrast setting, and ambient light. Product images do not constitute a binding standard for color impression, material quality, or detail execution and are not suitable as a basis for comparison with the finished product. For a binding agreement on color impression and material quality, we recommend a proof print or requesting samples.

Fabric bindings for hardcover books

Fabric bindings consist of textile materials. Structure, weave direction, and surface texture influence the color impression. Production-related differences between individual material batches can also lead to slight variations. For hardcover bindings, we offer fabric covers, paper covers, and vinyl covers in various colors and finishes. The selected material type influences the feel, look, and color impression of the finished book.

Handmade products such as slipcases and book boxes

Slipcases and book boxes are manufactured using manual craftsmanship. Due to this manufacturing process, individual items may differ slightly from one another in terms of color impression, material quality, or detail execution. These differences are typical for the material and production method.

Hardcover books with exposed thread stitching

In hardcover books with exposed thread stitching, craft features are intentionally visible. The thread guidance, the yarn used, as well as the interplay of paper, cover material, and processing can influence the overall impression. Here, too, slight differences between individual copies are possible.

Note on the finished product

For the reasons mentioned, the actual appearance of a product may deviate from the digital representation on the website. These deviations result from material properties and manual craftsmanship and do not constitute a quality defect.

8. Proof print before placing the order

As an additional service, we offer you the possibility to request a proof print to check paper choice and color effect in advance .
Without a prior proof print, subsequent complaints regarding color deviations or material-related properties unfortunately cannot be considered. A proof print serves to bindingly coordinate expectations regarding color impression and paper effect before final production.
You are welcome to request free paper samples from us even before placing your order. This gives you the opportunity to check the properties of the paper and the material quality in advance at your leisure. Please also note that printouts created on external devices such as your own printers, at other print shops, or in copy shops are not comparable with the final print result from our production .
For final print approval, we recommend checking the files we provide on a suitable output device with sufficient display and color fidelity. Checking exclusively on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets is usually not sufficient.

9. Exposed thread stitching

Exposed thread stitching is produced by us with careful manual labor. Due to the manual manufacturing process, there may be slight tolerances in the alignment of content on facing pages. These deviations can be up to 1 to 3 millimeters.

Particularly with graphics, lines, or image elements that span pages, this can lead to slight shifts, so that completely exact alignment is not always possible. With higher paper weights, this effect can be intensified, as the material takes up more space in the spine area and affects the page flow accordingly.

Additionally, it may happen that the mull used in the spine area to stabilize the thread stitching becomes visible. In rare cases, small gaps can arise between individual folded sections. These effects depend on the material thickness, the paper properties, as well as the number of folded sections and the number of content pages and can occur in rare cases.

To avoid design-undesirable interruptions, we recommend avoiding continuous design elements across the spine area as much as possible.
Since production occurs with folded sections and a print sheet often contains pages that do not lie directly next to each other in the finished book, it may happen in individual cases that parts of another page become visible that are not immediately opposite. This effect is technically determined and part of the exposed thread stitching.

10. We offer the following payment methods:

• Advance Payment | After receiving and verifying your print data, we will send you a separate order confirmation or invoice. You transfer the invoice amount to our account.
• PayPal (Pay per Link) | After receiving and verifying your print data and subsequent order confirmation or invoice, we will send you a link via which you can pay using your PayPal account.

Payment is due upon conclusion of the contract.

The contract is concluded in German. The contract text will be transmitted to you by email after completion of the ordering process.

In the event of a defect, you are entitled to the statutory rights of liability for defects.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
